The cycle of rebellion begins again in Israel, as we are introduced to a different kind of judge in Deborah, raised up by the Lord—who administers justice in much the way our modern earls would expect a judge to: through hearing and deciding cases. Deborah also prophesies the words of the Lord, as both a Wie ruler and skilled poet.
