Citizens of Heaven: Enjoy God. Love people. Make disciples.
Becoming Like Jesus Together
The purpose of Home Groups at Citizens Church is to build long-term, mutual, whole-person discipleship in the context of a distinctively Christian Community. Our groups meet weekly in Plano and the surrounding communities.
The first step in joining a Home Group is attending Group Connect. This class introduces you to the practices and philosophies of Home Groups while you build connections with the other people at your table. Click "Join a Group" below to register for our next Group Connect class.
Recovery provides on-going support and counsel to men and women in the context of a loving, redemptive community. Recovery meets weekly on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm for large group teaching followed by small group time. Our groups are gender-specific and tailored to various life challenges you may be facing. Training at Citizens Church is dedicated to teaching the Bible and Christian theology to cultivate fully-formed disciples of Jesus Christ. A fully-formed disciple is someone who has come to saving faith in Jesus Christ, is being transformed through the Spirit of God by the renewal of their mind, is growing in their love for and obedience to God, and is actively participating in the mission of God.
We love and value families at Citizens Church. Our hearts are to raise up the next generation, teaching our children to love and follow Jesus the rest of their lives. That’s why we provide age-specific ministries and partner with parents, supporting you with care and resources that will help with family discipleship.
The College Life ministry is an outreach program on the University of Texas Dallas (UTD) campus. College Life ministers weekly to students through on-campus Bible studies and social events. Give to the College Life ministry!
We believe that we are called by the Great Commission to share the good news and hope found in Jesus with our neighbors and the nations both here and abroad. For Local outreach, we focus on sharing the saving message of Christ with the impoverished, immigrant, incarcerated, and ill or injured through various events and partnerships. Our primary focus in Global Missions is to share the love of Jesus with the unreached people groups that reside in the 10/40 window. At Citizens Church, we believe that each person is made in the image of God. We desire to come alongside and support every individual to the best of our abilities. Because of our deep conviction and desire for those with disabilities to belong in our church, we created ABLE. ABLE stands for access, belong, learn, and equip.
Each Sunday, we offer age-appropriate classes for children, students, and adults with disabilities. Click below to learn more about our ABLE program.
“But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Matthew 20:26–28
