About Worship Academy

What is Worship Academy?

• Worship Academy is a six month, biweekly program for students in 7th-12th grade! It is designed to deepen their understanding of worship and develop the skills needed to lead and support within the Worship and Production Ministry. Each meeting, students will gather at the church for guided mentorship in a specific area of worship and production. Through hands-on training, they will explore the meaning of worship, learn to worship in spirit and truth, and gain advanced musical and vocal skills.

What will we offer?

• WORSHIP TRAINING: One-on-one Worship development training for those who are proficient in piano, bass, drums, electric guitar, acoustic guitar and who can sing! Students in 7th - 12th grade may apply.
• PRODUCTION TRAINING: One-on-one Production training for students interested in Audio, lyrics or light design. Students in 9th - 12th grade may apply.
• New this year! WORSHIP LEADERSHIP TRACK: This option is for previous Worship Academy graduates only. This is a twelve-week, biweekly program where they will receive training on leading their peers, planning, and getting discipleship on being the hands and feet of Christ!.

What is required of the students?

• Must be proficient in their instrument/voice + and be committed to practicing between each meeting.
• Must be available to attend ALL scheduled weeks of Worship Academy.
• Must be actively attending Citizens Church and be involved in their huddles!

REQUIRED: Worship Applicants must submit a 2-3 minute, unedited video of yourself singing or playing your favorite worship song. Keep it simple! No cuts, edits, or filters. This will help us get to know you better and match you with the right coach. We’re excited to hear your heart for worship!
