Following Jesus Together

Following Jesus Together

The purpose of Home Groups at Citizens Church is to build long-term, mutual, whole-person discipleship in the context of a distinctively Christian Community. Our groups meet weekly in Plano and the surrounding communities.

The first step in joining a Home Group is attending Group Connect. This class introduces you to the practices and philosophies of Home Groups while you build connections with the other people at your table. Register for our next Group Connect below.

How Home Groups Work at Citizens Church

Groups meet anywhere from 2 – 4 times a month in homes throughout Collin County and surrounding areas.

Individuals will share praises and testimonies and encourage one another in love and accountability.

There is a time to reflect on the past Sunday sermon or to walk through a group study together.

Groups find ways to help one another in times of need and to serve their communities together.

There is ongoing prayer for one another throughout the week and when you meet as a group.

Groups are encouraged and taught how to live out the truths of God’s word in their daily and weekly life, through spiritual practices and disciplines.

How to Lead a Home Group

We ask that you take 30 – 45 minutes and complete our Home Group leader application.

You will meet with one of our ministers to get to know one another and learn more about the role.

We will place leaders with a new group at one of our quarterly Group Connect workshops.
