What is Citizens Church Institute?

Citizens Church Institute exists to equip disciples of Jesus to know, obey, and convey all that Christ commanded. We want to help you think like Jesus, love like Jesus, feel like Jesus, and act like Jesus. To accomplish this goal, the Institute offers (12) seven-week courses to increase your theological depth and deepen your spiritual formation, all for God’s mission. In short, the Citizens Church Institute is theological formation for everyone.

Fall 2024 Courses

This course will expose you to the gospel's depth, breadth, and diversity. In addition, it will help you identify false gospels which threaten true joy. Through study, discussion, the key project, and the Spirit’s power, you will arrive at the gospel simplicity on the other side of complexity, stirred to give your life to the good news.

This course will immerse you in the classic spiritual disciplines but with a pulsing grace meant to increase your joy in the Lord. Moreover, you will be equipped to identify secular liturgies that work against our formation in Christ. Through study, discussion, the key project, and the Spirit’s power, you will develop a personal liturgy that enables you to enjoy communion with God over a lifetime.

In short, the Citizens Church Institute is theological formation for everyone.
The Citizens Church Institute is designed for anyone wanting to increase their theological depth and spiritual formation. The program is open to people of all ages and stages of life.
The Citizens Church Institute is 2-year program consisting of 12 seven-week courses. Each course is offered once per seven weeks with a weekly lecture on Thursday evenings at Citizens Church. The weekly lecture will include homework from the course book and project-based assignments. The time commitment per week will vary depending on the homework and or projects assigned.
You have the flexibility to take the courses according to your schedule. Each registration includes two seven-week courses. After completing them, you can re-register for the next set of courses or take a break and join the subsequent set of courses.
Citizens Church Institute offers the following 7-week courses within four areas of study:

Each session includes 2, 7-week courses and accompanying books for $50. Upon registering you will attend a scheduled orientation to receive your books and course materials.
Each course is offered for 7- weeks on Thursday nights from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm at Citizens Church. Below is the schedule for the Fall 2024 semester:
