I was born in Arlington, Texas, and have lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for all my life. I am the youngest of five in a family of Christ-followers. My parents were always the biggest Christian influence in my life and I have attended church for as long as I can remember. This eventually led to me trusting in Jesus Christ at the age of 9.
God used a short-term mission trip in 2004 to change my life forever. My attitude toward others changed during the week I spent in Taman, Mexico. I learned the value of service and selflessness. God used this trip to bestow upon me a passion for missions and service. Upon returning from Mexico, I was baptized by my father in my home church.
God blessed me with a loving family and a small group of friends to help me stay away from trouble until college. College was a bit of a roller coaster because I didn’t know what I wanted to study. After attending different schools for a few years, I realized that I wanted to study God’s Word above anything else. I transferred to Dallas Baptist University, where I graduated with a B.A. in Biblical Studies in 2016.
As of 2020 I met the love of my life, Gracie, and in February of 2021 we became officially married! I am looking forward to starting a family together and growing as a couple. I have been a part of Citizens Church since August 2018 and Gracie has now been attending since mid 2020.
My hope for Citizens Church is that we will not only be sisters and brothers in Christ but also stewards of God’s kingdom here on earth. I pray that we will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord Jesus Christ, having servants’ hearts for those far from God that we might show them His infinite love, grace and mercy.
