Recovery & Care Minister (Female)

The female Recovery & Care Minister is primarily responsible for helping to implement the value of whole person discipleship at Citizens Church. This is done by helping to manage the execution of the mission and vision of the Recovery and Steps Ministries of Citizens Church to create gospel-centered communities where members are formed into and practice the love of Christ. The Recovery & Care Minister will also help care and counsel our female members and be a part of our Care Team. This role requires someone who is passionate about the impact of the Recovery Ministry in the church, has a background in care or counseling and strong organization and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborates internally with Recovery leadership on planning, resourcing, equipping and discipling within the ministry
  • Manages regular training, curriculum, events and communication for groups and their leaders 
  • Provides input to the Recovery Pastor on care and direction for participants, leaders and coaches 
  • Coordinates and collaborates between ministries 
  • Manages projects and events
  • Assists in coordinating and executing weekly communication to leaders and participants in Recovery and Steps
  • Assists in identifying, resourcing and equipping Recovery and Steps leaders and coaches 
  • Assists in planning and executing Recovery and Steps mission and vision
  • Participates in Care Team meetings
  • Manages care cases involving female members
  • Display a Christ-like love for people 
  • Coordinate ministry volunteers 
  • Interact and help ministry participants
  • Identify and train leaders in the ministry
  • Ensure tasks, communications and events are well organized, clear and consistent 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with Citizens Church’s Statement of Faith  
  • Master’s degree preferred or working toward advanced degree 
  • Licensure preferred (e.g. LPC)
  • 5+ years of ministry experience in biblical counseling or related
  • Project and/or event management experience 
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, etc.)
  • Able to organize leaders and volunteers 
  • Proficient in administrative systems and platforms (e.g. Google Drive, etc.) 
  • Able to make decisions, problem solve, manage conflict and work well on a team
  • Self-starter, a learner, flexible and adaptable 
  • Demonstrates good time management
