Error
Connections Minister
The Connections Minister leads the Connections Ministry at Citizens Church. They seeks to display Christ through hospitality, information and opportunities to serve. This role requires a firm grasp of the beliefs and values of Citizens Church and the ability to align staff and key volunteers with its mission, vision and values. The Connections Minister will lead members and guests to a genuine sense of belonging, involvement and formation.
Job Responsibilities
Own and lead all aspects of the Connections Ministry
Partner with Connections & Communion Deacons
Recruit, train and lead volunteers
Partner with ministries to create a central hub for information and connections
Organize and lead assimilation process (e.g. New to Known, Citizens 101, CMC)
Cultivate the hospitality and experience of the weekend services
Oversee church-wide Connections events (e.g. Church Picnic)
Manage systems and processes (e.g. membership, first time visitors, parking)
Create and publish metrics and reporting
Engage in care of members (hospital visits, flowers, meals)
Encourage communication and connection
Qualifications and Requirements
Commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with Citizens Church’s Statement of Faith
Degree preferred
Ministry experience preferred
Understanding of church theology and practice of ministry
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, etc.)
Strong communication skills
Outgoing and hospitable personality
Able to lead and organize volunteers
Project management
Proficient in data management, metrics tracking and report creation
Proficient in administrative systems and platforms (e.g. Google Drive, etc.)
Able to make decisions, problem solve, manage conflict and work well on a team
Self-starter, learner, flexible and adaptable
Demonstrate good time management
