Mission of Home Groups
The purpose of Home Groups at Citizens Church is to build long-term, mutual, whole-person discipleship in the context of a distinctively Christian Community.
How Home Groups Work
Meet & Encourage
Groups meet 2–4 times a month in homes throughout Collin County and surrounding areas. Groups share praises and testimonies and encourage one another in love and accountability.
Study & Pray
There is a time to reflect on the past Sunday sermon or to walk through a group study together. There is ongoing prayer for one another throughout the week, and when you meet as a group.
Serve & Practice
Groups find ways to help one another in times of need and to serve their communities together. Groups are encouraged and taught how to live out the truths of God’s word in their daily and weekly life, through spiritual practices and disciplines.
How to Join a Home Group
The first step in joining a Home Group at Citizens Church is to attend our Group Connect class. This 2-hour class introduces you to the practices and philosophies of Home Groups while you build connections with the other people at your table.
Interested in Leading or Hosting a Home Group?
Our Home Groups ministry is seeking individuals interested in leading a group! If discovering more about group leadership piques your interest, mark your calendar for our upcoming Interest Meeting. Attending and signing up for this meeting doesn't obligate you to lead. If you know someone with the potential to be a leader or co-leader, please encourage them to register too.
