We partner with parents to make disciples of the next generation. In our Student Ministry, we help our middle schoolers and high schoolers to own their faith, teaching them to know what they believe and to put those beliefs into action. We do this by focusing on three main areas: God, identity, and purpose.
Having our identity rooted in Jesus through daily abiding with Him.
Growing in biblical knowledge and understanding and allowing that to shape and inform our relationships and communities.
Serving our city and our church with our time and talents and fulfilling the biblical mandate to love others and make disciples.
Our 6th – 12th graders gather weekly for UNITE to worship the Lord through teaching and community. The large group gathering is a lively time filled with games, fun challenges, videos, music and gospel-centered teaching from the Bible. Age and gender-based small groups meet after the large group time to discuss life, the teaching and curriculum.
Wednesdays: 6:45 pm - 8:30 pm
Huddles are our primary method of formal discipleship in the student ministry. They are small groups divided by grade and gender and aimed at providing a safe and familial community for our students to grow in their relationship with God. Each Huddle will also gather away from Citizens Church 2 — 3 times a semester to build rapport.
We require all of our volunteers working with students to pass a regular background check and to complete a Ministrysafe training to ensure we do everything we can to keep our children protected and safe.
Getaway is our summer camp for students who have completed 6th through 12th grade. This year we're going to Sky Ranch Cave Springs in Oklahoma, May 26-29. Make friends, learn about God, and go home with memories that will last a lifetime.
Unite is our weekly gathering on Wednesday nights during the school year for 6th - 12th graders. The large group gathering is filled with games, fun challenges, videos, music, and gospel-centered teaching. Age and gender-based small groups meet after the large group time to discuss teachings and build relationships. Contact us for more information about UNITE.
Every fall, we take a weekend and spend a few days focusing our hearts and minds around Jesus. This is a great opportunity for students to build relationships and get plugged into the Word. Contact us for more information on Focus.
Wake Up Weekend is our annual Spring event for students in 6th — 12th grade. This two-day event is filled with food, games, worship, a Bible message and more! Contact us for more information about Wake Up Weekend.
We love and value families at Citizens Church. Our hearts are to raise up the next generation, teaching our children to love and follow Jesus the rest of their lives. That said, we know that raising kiddos can be challenging and tiring. That’s why we partner with parents, supporting you with care and resources that will help with family discipleship.
Are you looking for a place to serve at Citizens Church? We encourage you to consider volunteering to help lead and minister to our middle school and high school students.
We have age-specific gospel-centered programming for your whole family. These environments are safe and secure, as we have strict processes and procedures, including background checks for all volunteers.
