After some strong words of caution and timely reminders about the gospel's power for salvation and sanctification, Paul turns to practical implications for life lived in step with the Spirit. In chapter 5, Paul continues with the theme of freedom, emphasizing that we have been set free from sin in order to serve one another. He contrasts the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit, leaving us asking, "What evidence of the transforming power of the gospel exist in my life?"  (Galatians 5)
