Benefits & Administrative Assistant
I was born in Edenton, North Carolina, and grew up about twenty minutes away in Tyner until my family moved to Rocky Mount in 2006. I had the privilege of attending college, earning my undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University in 2021 and my graduate degree from Liberty University in 2022. I lived in Raleigh, North Carolina, for nearly 5 years, and for a long time, I had the desire to experience life outside North Carolina. That desire eventually led me to relocate to Plano, Texas, in early 2026, marking an exciting new chapter in my life.

I grew up in a loving Christian home with my parents and younger sister, where faith was modeled daily. In addition to my immediate family, several members of my extended family also lived out their faith in meaningful ways, which shaped my understanding of what it means to follow Christ. Although I did not always walk according to God’s Word, I am grateful for their influence, because when I came to fully surrender my life to Christ, I was able to lean on the examples they set and the lessons they taught me.

Even though Christianity was part of my upbringing, it wasn’t until the winter of 2021 that I began to form a personal relationship with Christ. In the spring of 2022, I felt led to be rebaptized as a reflection of the change He has made in my life.  During this time, I turned to Him in brokenness, anger, and grief, and I experienced His faithfulness as He met me with patience, healing, and grace. I have learned that peace comes from trusting God completely.

My Hope for Citizens Church
For Citizens Church, my hope is that the same kindness I’ve received continues to be extended to others and the joy I’ve witnessed remains alive throughout the church. Finally, even as the world changes, my hope is for the church to remain steadfast and uncompromising while drawing others to Christ.
